Lorenz Krisai Architects

We are a New York based architecture office with Austrian roots creating bold, unconventional designs that are tailored to their unique environments.

About

Lorenz Krisai is an Austrian architect licensed in the state of New York. He grew up in Vienna, Austria and was educated between Vienna and Paris where he studied architecture under Zaha Hadid and interior architecture at the Ecole Penninghen.

Prior to founding Lorenz Krisai Architects, he was an Associate at BIG - Bjarke Ingels Group where he led multiple large scale projects from concept design to construction - including KING Toronto, BIG’s first South American projects IQON Quito and EPIQ Quito, the Robert Day Sciences Center for Claremont McKenna College, and the S.Pellegrino Flagship Factory in Italy.

Our team of architects, designers, and makers has a diverse background and a shared vision: to create buildings that inspire, uplift, and endure. Our expertise extends across all scales - from small to large.

A city is more than just the sum of its parts. With each new building comes an opportunity to set the bar higher for the next building, and a responsibility to work towards the future we want to live in.
